ANALYSIS OF PLANE STRESS PROBLEMS USING THE SUBDOMAIN MESHLESS METHOD

In this paper, the Subdomain Meshless Method (SMM) is applied to the numerical solution
of plane stress problems. An efficient integration scheme is proposed by using only a support of
approximation centered at the base point for all Gauss points. At the end of the paper, an example is
presented in order to assess the efficiency of the proposed method by comparing its results with those
provided by analytical solutions reported in the literature.
