Simultaneous Optimization of Fiber and Material Distribution for Composite Materials Based on Topology Optimization

New additive manufacturing technologies are been developed to obtain particular composite
structures. In the case of fiber-reinforced composite structures, fiber angle influences material properties.
This work presents a method based on topology optimization, which combines two models to design
structures made of fiber-reinforced composite, considering simultaneously the distribution of material
and the fiber orientation.
