Resumo

In the engineering, the realization of various activities count with the support of
computational tools due to the demanded time and complexity. Considering the ease of access to
Microsoft Excel Software, your disponible resources and simplified interface, it is shown as an
efficient alternative for the development of those tools. Given the great alterability of the soil where is
situated the foundation, the great challenge in the execution of projects is to ally safety and economy,
optimizing costs and procedures. Thus, the present article has as objective the development of a tool in
the Excel ambience to size and optimize deep and superficial foundations. The sizing is based on the
Terzaghi method (1943) for the superficial foundations and in the Aoki-Velloso method (1975) for the
deep foundations. Utilizing the VBA UserForms resource, for development in a practice way the
graphic interface. The validation of the tool is verified from the results obtained by this one, for
questions presents in base bibliography and in conformity with the vigent standards, showing as a free
efficient alternative both profissional as well pedagogically.
