Resumo

The adoption of persistent identifiers is one of the pillars for the advancement of Open Science, as it promotes interoperability, traceability, and reproducibility of research. This article presents a quantitative analysis of the presence of persistent identifiers in CVs registered on the Lattes Platform, focusing on ORCID for authors and DOI for publications. More than 9 million CVs were analyzed, revealing that only 377,385 researchers had informed their ORCID. Regarding publications, of the 12.8 million publications in journals, 46.6% contained DOI; this percentage was significantly lower in articles published in conference proceedings (2.4%), book chapters (14.3%), and books (6.4%). The results point to the need for greater institutional and cultural incentives for the use of persistent identifiers, as an essential condition for strengthening Open Science in Brazil.
