Resumo

Wooden structures are increasingly used in civil construction. Due to its ecological and renewable nature, and its wide variety of byproducts, this material has stood out as an intelligent solution for structural elements. Therefore, knowing its behavior is of utmost importance to ensure safety for designers. Due to the combustibility of this material, understanding the consequences of exposure to a fire situation is essential to ensure the safety of the building. Therefore, this research seeks to evaluate the thermostructural behavior of a wooden beam in a fire situation via CS-ASA/FSA. In comparison with the literature, the ability of the computational tool to perform this type of analysis is evident. The results obtained identify the importance of temperature advances in the stiffness and resistance capacity of the wooden beam. Additionally, the importance of understanding the behavior of wood in these scenarios is evident.
