Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyse the undamped free vibrations in composite concrete and wood plates, via the finite differences method, assuming that the two materials operate in the linear elastic regime and the validity of the Kirchoff-Love hypothesis for plates, an extension of the Bernoulli-Euler hypothesis for beams. The flexural stiffness of the two-material section is then determined. The frequencies of undamped free vibration of composite plate models with various boundary conditions are numerically determined. The results are compared with those available in the literature.
